In this tutorial will show you how to upload a specific map to your Counter-Strike 1.6 server.
IMPORTANT: In this tutorial, we will show you how to upload the de_dust2_xmas map, please note that each map is different and most maps have accompanying elements that need to be uploaded, such as models, sounds and etc. We recommend using the following sites to download your maps: https://maps.cs-bg.info/ and https://gamebanana.com/mods/cats/5474
HOW TO UPLOAD A SPECIFIC MAP?
Step 1) Once you have downloaded the specific map, it will most often be in the ARCHIVE, unzip the specific archive to your device and open your FTP client (FileZilla or WinSCP) and connect to FTP of your server.
Step 2) Go to the console > click on your server > navigate to "FILE MANAGER" > open a cstrike directory > and click on "mapcycle.txt" and insert the map name without the .bsp. Repeat the same procedure for the "maps.ini" file in cstrike > addons > amxmodx > configs
- You can get the map name by opening the maps directory and copying the name.
Step 3) Once you have uploaded the files to the card and set the card name to mapcycle.txt and maps.ini, restart your server.
