HOW TO RESET MAP DATA ON YOUR ARK SERVER?

Resetting map data on an ARK server clears all progress, tames, and buildings, bringing the world back to its original state. It gives everyone a fair shot to start fresh, explore, and rebuild from scratch.

NOTE: Make backups of any files you may delete by mistake in processes like this one.

NOTE: Find out how to reset player data in this article.

Step 1) Go to your Console > click on your server and stop it using the "STOP" button. Once your server is stopped, go to the "FILE MANAGER", which you’ll find in the menu on the left under "SERVER CONTROLS".

stop server then file manager

Step 2) Navigate to ShooterGame > Saved > SavedArks and find the files with the names containing your map name (we use The Island in this example) that end with the file extension .ark

Step 3) Select the files and press DELETE as shown below, then confirm the deletion

Step 4) Go back to the Console and start the server again.
